PURPOSES of THE SUTTON & CHEAM SOCIETY
(extracts from the Constitution of 1987)
The Society is established for the public benefit for the following purposes in the area comprising the former Borough of Sutton and Cheam (which included Belmont, North Cheam and Worcester
To promote Civic Pride in the area
To promote high standards of planning and architecture
in or affecting the area
2a To secure the preservation, protection, development
and improvement of the environment and urban landscape
including features of historic or public interest in
Membership shall be open to all who are actively interested in furthering the purposes of the Society.
A complete copy of the Constitution will be sent to any member who applies to the Honorary Secretary.
